Cut out all gluten, dairy, and sugar for a minimum of two weeks (longer would be more ideal).
Now you begin the waiting game.
During these days, keep track of how you’re feeling. Take notice of your energy levels and how you feel
Be careful in your choices and look for whole food sources that are grass-fed and organic.
Wild Caught Salmon
Wild or farmed Tilapia
Organic, pasture-raised Eggs
Lean Ground Turkey
Organic, hormone/antibiotic-free, chicken
Grass Fed/Finished Steaks
Venison or Other Wild Game Meats
At least 2 cups per day from the cruciferous family (aids in detoxification)
Garlic and onion (every day)
Normal grocery store veggies (carrots, tomatoes, spinach, etc.)
Raw Fermented Sauerkraut
All berries, especially blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries
Conventional fruits (apples, bananas, pears, cherries, etc.)
Coconut Oil (safe for cooking)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (use for salad dressings)
Grass Fed, Raw Butter or Ghee (safe for cooking)
Herbs/ Spices/ Condiments
Apple Cider Vinegar
Organic Salsa with no added preservatives
Finally, during this, don’t focus on what you can’t eat, but focus on what you can. Replace the foods you’re eliminating with organic fruits and veggies, nuts, seeds, clean meats, and complex carbohydrates. Concentrating on getting enough of these foods will keep you too busy to worry about the foods you’re eliminating.
