"Breath is the power behind all things, I breath in and I know good things will happen." Tao Poncheon Lynch
The breath has being used for 1000's of years, but is it just a focal point for us humans to use as a sense of calm or does the breath hold the keys to the gateway of this universal healing, calm and connection to all life energy?
I read once that, The breath is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal for self-regulation, energy generation, and overall health. Even though we are constantly inhaling and exhaling, the power of breath can be elusive to many of us. “We’ve diminished our capacity [for breathing] so thoroughly that we are only using the very top of the lungs—just barely getting by,” says Belisa Vranich, Psy.D., author of the book Breathe.
Have we ever just stopped and thought deeply at the breath, become the breath through a awareness? well if you have listened to one or more episodes on the Ascend Podcast, then yes i'm sure you have. Maybe you have even gone to declare you are the universe and that each breath is your life force, and your becoming stronger and stronger with each breath. (yes we have also done this)
But the truth is ladies and gentlemen, the breath is your deepest connection to your mind, its the tool which our minds have to heal, to focus, to relax, to be at one with your self, they say if you master your breathing, you can only then master yourself.

Engel is the founder and director of Pranayama Sadhana, School of Pranic Studies. Beginning his journey of self-inquiry at a young age, he began pursuing the questions, ‘Who am I? From where do I come? Where do I go, and what must I do?’ This pursuit as a young child was ultimately his awakening to the path of yoga. Having spent his early years as a renunciate and devoted to the studies of pranayama, Engel continues to find light upon this path, where he shares an entirely new chapter of classical teachings that inspire subtle knowledge and self inquiry.
