Have you ever questioned what would your life look like if you did not have any ties to the existential world of electronics, running water or even local access to shops. Our guest today has turned her back on the ties that hold us back and lives in a community distanced from the world, its a beautiful collection of people who live in a collection of peace and harmony. They pride themselves on community and show deeply rooted the value of what it can offer
To many people get caught up in these mundane crises that keep us locked in this game called life, but very few of us are actually just getting out and really experiencing life and what it can do for us.
I questioned myself through this episode, i asked myself how many times have i kept living in a tight world of safety and comfort arguing over bullshit with out ever asking what these little micro stresses are doing to my body. Emma our guest today has ridden her self from the stresses and lived a closer life than ever to the connected source.
Find out today in this epsiode of what life is like truly of the grid.
Emma Orbach has spent the last 20 years living complete off grid, with no electricity and she lives in a self-built roundhouse. Her daily chores involve tending to her vegetable plot and collecting fruit, tending to her three goats, chickens and horses and chopping firewood.
She gets her drinking water from a nearby stream and only ventures to the shops for treats like rice and chocolate. Her evenings are spent looking at the night sky and in the glow of her stove, cooking her dinner and playing music on her Celtic harp.
